Extracurricular Activities
Aims
Through organizing different extracurricular activities, the Extracurricular Activities (ECA)Department provides a harmonious school life to enhance students’ sense of belonging to the school, and to help them build correct values.
Club Development
In Mid-September every year, the “Club and Sport Team Member Recruitment Day” is organised at the hall. To attract students to enrol, different clubs set up booths and display boards. They play videos and do demonstrations to promote their clubs. The “One Student, One Activity” scheme is implemented to encourage S1 students to take part in club activities.
Athletics Meet
The Athletics Meet is organised every year to help students explore their potentials in sports and cultivate sportsmanship. The Athletics Meet takes place on two days, which are the Heats Day and Final Day. To gain glory for their respective houses, athletes try their best to win medals.

Working in partnership with the Hong Kong PHAB Association Jockey Club Shatin Integrated Service Centre for Children & Youth, the school provides a three-year leadership training course for S2, S3 and S4 students with leadership potential. S5 leadership training members collaborate with the same organization to publish a pamphlet on a community survey. In addition, two different "Leadership Training" talks are organised for club committee members. The Department also recommends students with outstanding performance in extracurricular activities for the Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award to broaden their horizons.
Music Day
The Music Day is a major large-scale school event to cultivate students’ interest in music and their passion in singing. To match the school policy of enhancing the academic performance of students, the final of the Inter-class Singing Competition is held in December, while the Group singing, solo singing and musical instrument competitions are held in July during the post-exam period. These activities aim to help strike a balance between the academic and extracurricular developments of our students.
Hunger Banquet
The “Hunger Banquet” is jointly organised by the S3 leadership training members, Reading Club and Geography and Hiking Club. Through activities like decorating the venue, games led by the social workers of World Vision Hong Kong, video sharing, allocation of food and setting up display boards, students can understand the disparity between the rich and the poor, and learn to treasure food and care for others.
Post-exam Activities and Summer Activities
To help students make good use of the holidays and widen their horizons, different kinds of activities are organised during the post-exam period and the summer holiday. They include leadership training day camp, talks, workshops, PE Day, Art Education Day, creative drama performance, outings and visits.
