Chinese Debate Team

The objectives of our school's Chinese Debating Team is to provide training to students to train their persuasive skills, logical thinking skills, and public speaking skills, We are dedicated to training a competitive debating team to help students build confidence, a sense of achievement, and unleash their potential in debates.

In recent years, our Chinese Debating Team has shown improvement in various interschool competitions, including the Hong Kong Schools Debating Championship, Sing Tao Inter-school Debating Competition, Hong Kong Secondary School Student Debate Tournament (Basic Law Cup), Chi Sun Cup, Tong Hang Cup, Fun Cup, and WISE Debating Tournament.

In the academic year 2020-2021, we achieved the overall third place in the "Hong Kong Schools Debating Championship."

The aim of our school's Chinese Debate Team is to provide training in argumentation, logical thinking, and public speaking skills for academically gifted students in the Chinese language.

Integrating debate into education

In addition to providing debate opportunities for a group of elite students, we also integrate debating activities into the junior form curriculum of “Civic Education, Economics, and Social Sciences".
